What you’ll be doing:
* Act as the primary on-site representative for the client, ensuring contractor compliance with project specifications and expectations.
* Monitor and record daily site operations, including construction, installation, and maintenance activities.
* Ensure compliance with UK health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Monitor contractor performance, addressing any issues or delays.
* Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, external agencies, project managers and other third parties to ensure the smooth running of the project.
* Conduct site inspections and audits to record and monitor progress and quality of work.
* Identify and resolve technical or operational issues in advance to prevent occurrences.
* Prepare weekly progress reports to the Head of Delivery.
What experience you'll bring:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Supervisor in solar farm construction, renewable energy, or related fields.
* Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
* Experience working in a client-side supervisory role.
* Knowledge of solar PV system installation and maintenance.
* Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
* Familiarity with UK health and safety regulations, including CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
* Valid UK driving licence and ability to travel to different sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certification in solar energy or project management.
* Experience with SCADA monitoring systems.
* Previous experience in a supervisory role on the client side.
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) certification.
