Electronics Development Engineer
Location: Northamptonshire
Job Overview:
A well-established company is seeking a skilled Electronics Development Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and testing of electronic assemblies integrated into mechanical packages.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead electronic product development, working closely with a team of engineers to meet spatial constraints.
2. Design and layout PCBs, producing documentation for manufacturing.
3. Source, produce, and test prototypes as required.
4. Develop and test prototypes in compliance with EMC legislation (experience with automotive/aerospace standards is advantageous).
5. Identify and recommend improvements to optimize costs and technical performance.
6. Oversee qualification, testing, and compliance with EMC standards.
7. Conduct feasibility studies for new technological innovations.
8. Document and report internal testing findings.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
1. Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
2. Proficiency in both analogue and digital electronics hardware design.
3. Experience bringing products from concept to market (full product life cycle).
4. Understanding of EMC compliance and testing.
5. Knowledge of CAN bus networks (SAE J1939 preferred).
6. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
7. Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office, 365, Teams, ERP systems).
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
