Responsibilities
Collect and dispose of litter and waste from public areas including streets, parks, and open spaces
Operate waste collection vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently
Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of public amenities
Perform regular inspections of designated areas to ensure cleanliness and safety
Report any hazards, damage, or maintenance needs to the appropriate departments
Engage with community members to promote waste reduction and recycling initiatives
Participate in community clean-up events and educational programs on sustainability
Requirements
Ability to perform physical labor and outdoor work in various weather conditions
Strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness and environmental standards
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Experience in waste management or environmental services is an advantage
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to waste collection
Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings and weekends if required
Willingness to engage with the community in a positive and friendly manner
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 06:30
End Time: 16:15
Pay Per Hour: £12.85
Location: Plymouth, South West England
