Description
As an Audit Senior, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients including owner managed businesses, sole traders, companies, and partnerships from various sectors including charities, manufacturing, healthcare, and hospitality. This role offers the opportunity to build strong client relationships while developing your expertise in auditing standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Actively engaging with clients to gain a thorough understanding of their business.
2. Act as point of contact for clients during audit engagements, building and maintaining strong relationships.
3. Lead audit engagements for a portfolio of clients, including planning, execution, and finalisation.
4. Identifying risk areas and finalising all areas of audit assignments under manager/partner supervision.
5. Assisting junior team members, reviewing their work, and ensuring audit objectives are met.
6. Ensuring compliance with external audit requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
1. Qualified Accountant: ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
2. Audit Practice Experience: experience in an audit and accounts practice, including an understanding of regulatory obligations and quality standards.
3. Risk Assessment: experience in identifying and assessing risks and implementing effective controls.
4. Client Management: Strong client relationship management skills, able to build and maintain long-term relationships.
