Job Advert Workshop Mechanic Great Yarmouth, Norfolk Permanent position About Us: ScanTech Offshore Ltd – part of the James Fisher Group, provide an impressive range of rental equipment including air compressors, steam generators and rig cooling services, as well as designing, installing and commissioning bespoke heat suppression safety systems. The Energy Division provides safe, sustainable products and services for two core markets, oil and gas and renewables. The Role: To service, maintain & repair company fleet of diesel-powered compressors, steam generating plant, booster pumps, heat exchangers, fluid monitoring safety systems and ancillaries. Principle Accountabilities: Maintain company equipment in line with company procedures and industry best practise. Fault find and investigate performance issues & repair. Pack and load out company equipment in line with company procedure and guidelines. Maintain a professional and courteous approach to colleagues and customers at all times. Follow company HSEQ policy and identify areas for improvement. Interpret & compile job service cards to determine level of service and identify opportunities for engineering improvements. Work as part of a workshop engineering team to ensure equipment leaves the workshop fit for purpose and fully tested ready for offshore operations. Ability to supervise Trainees and Junior Technicians and freely impart knowledge & experience to develop our Inclusive One Team philosophy. Qualifications and Experience: Level 3 S/NVQ City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification Industry recognised training in hydraulics, rotating equipment and diesel engines Time served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent. Full UK driving license. You will need a flexible approach and be available for regular overtime to meet periods of high demand. This role is based at the Scantech offices in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk therefore, you will need to live within a commutable distance to this location. You will also require the right to reside and work in the UK to apply for this position.
