Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician looking for a new and exciting opportunity? Our client, a leader in designing and manufacturing precision-forged and machined components, is seeking a talented individual to join their dynamic team.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing company assets, ensuring both reactive and preventative maintenance are handled efficiently. You'll be a crucial part of a team dedicated to minimising plant downtime and maintaining high safety standards.
Hours of work will be Mon-Thurs / Tues-Fri (Rotating weekly).
Competitive Salary: Circa £17.00 p/h - £21.87 p/h (dependent on experience) plus comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
1. Repair & Maintenance: Keep all plant and equipment in top condition, adhering to safety policies.
2. Engineering Consultancy: Help improve planned maintenance checks and their frequency.
3. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and comply with company quality instructions.
4. Documentation: Accurately complete all maintenance documents on time.
5. Spare Parts Management: Identify and specify spare part requirements for machine repair.
6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with production to minimise downtime.
About You
To thrive in this role, you may have worked as a Plant Engineer, Plant Technician, Multi-Skilled Technician, Maintenance Engineer, or Multi-Skilled Engineer. You should have:
1. Experience: Proven track record in a Maintenance Department within a manufacturing environment.
2. Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, clear communication, and the ability to work flexibly and meet deadlines.
3. Knowledge: Expertise in machine control systems and mechanical workings, with the ability to identify faults on large engineering plants and handle machine installations.
Location
This position is based in Redditch, conveniently commutable from Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Alcester, Studley, South Birmingham, Solihull, Worcester, Kidderminster, and Stourbridge.
