Avionics Systems Engineer
Location: Warton (Hybrid and Flexible Working Available)
Salary: £45,000 - £52,000 + Benefits
A leading aerospace and defence organisation is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer to work on advanced aircraft mission and flight systems. This is an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology and play a key role in shaping the future of airborne capability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyse new and emerging customer requirements, conducting feasibility studies and scoping assessments across core subsystems.
• Lead technical assessments of system design changes, evaluating their impact on the overall platform.
• Conduct initial safety assessments and identify potential hazards within aircraft systems.
• Work across the full system development lifecycle, from requirements capture to implementation and validation.
• Engage with key stakeholders, including customers and internal teams, to ensure successful system integration.
What We Are Looking For:
• Strong background in systems engineering, ideally within aerospace or defence.
• Experience in requirements capture, management, and system safety assessments.
• Ability to assess engineering requirements and their impact on aircraft platforms.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders.
• Degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience.
