We have an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment & People Officer to join our team at Ragdale Hall Spa. Ragdale Hall Spa is an award-winning, family run, ‘Destination Spa’ dedicated to providing outstanding service to our guests. We offer fantastic food, rejuvenating treatments and an array of spa and fitness facilities. We have an amazing team of over 550 people, across 25 departments. The ‘Ragdale family’ is what makes the Hall such a successful business, which is why this is such an integral role. We’re looking for a confident individual who has a passion for working with people and enjoys building relationships to make a positive difference. This role involves taking ownership of recruitment processes as well as getting involved in all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You will act as an ambassador for Ragdale Hall, pro-actively promoting it as a great place to work, locally, nationally and even internationally, attracting the best people and successfully on-boarding them. Working closely with our Head of Departments and employees, you would provide advice and support on all HR policies and procedures.
What the role involves:
* Managing end-to-end internal recruitment processes, working closely with all Head of Departments in respect of vacancies within their teams.
* Optimising all recruitment related material on our website and social media platforms to attract the best candidates and create an ongoing interest in what is going on at Ragdale Hall Spa.
* Drafting job descriptions, creating inspiring and innovative job adverts, and managing applications through our Applicant Tracking System.
* Taking ownership for when and how positions are advertised, both internally and externally.
* Investigating new recruitment platforms, to successfully reach out to new pools of candidates, whilst developing existing relationships with recruitment agencies.
* Effectively managing and growing a candidate database, in part through creating and sending regular vacancy alerts.
* Attending job fairs, exhibitions and competition events.
* Producing all new starter documentation, including offer letters and contracts of employment.
* Responding to candidate and employee queries.
* Providing HR support to Head of Departments in relation to low level performance, conduct and wellbeing matters.
* Providing accurate and timely administrative support to all other transactional HR processes.
* Creating and preparing various HR reports using the HR Information system (HRIS).
* Trouble shooting basic system errors and responding to HRIS related queries.
* Contributing to the ongoing development of all HR projects, policies and processes.
The ideal candidate:
You will have proven recruitment experience, preferably within a hospitality environment, although this is not essential. You’ll need to be tenacious, creative and organised, with the ability to prioritise. To have an inquisitive mind and a sharp eye for detail is key. Fantastic written and verbal communication is essential. You must have strong skills in technology, including experience of a HRIS. You will have the ability to navigate social media with ease. Whilst a CIPD qualification would be advantageous, there is also scope for this to be a developmental HR role for someone wishing to build their knowledge and experience of employee relations, in a supportive team environment, whereby we are committed to your continuous professional development.
Hours of Work:
Working either 32 or 39 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, this role will be Mon-Fri (9:00am-5:30pm).
