This is a key leadership position within the senior management team, offering the opportunity to drive project excellence, ensure operational success, and deliver critical infrastructure projects. The Role: You will take full ownership of project performance, overseeing a portfolio of work across construction, delivery, and commissioning phases. Reporting directly to the Pre-Construction Manager, you will lead teams through design, procurement, and execution to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Key responsibilities include: Providing strategic leadership for project delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Overseeing Construction and Delivery Leads, Site Managers, and contract teams to drive successful project outcomes. Managing project transitions from design through to construction and commissioning, ensuring seamless handovers. Driving a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance and proactive risk management. Leading client engagement, maintaining strong relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. Ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and commercial performance across projects. Championing best practices in project management, quality control, and delivery excellence. Supporting staff development, ensuring teams are equipped with the skills and training needed for success. What We’re Looking For This is a senior leadership role, requiring a results-driven individual with a track record of successfully managing complex infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have: Essential: Extensive experience in project/programme management within the infrastructure or construction sector. A degree or equivalent qualification in a construction-related discipline. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate multidisciplinary teams. A strategic mindset with the ability to drive performance and commercial success. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. A deep understanding of project management methodologies and best practices. Desirable: Experience in water/wastewater infrastructure projects. APMP or equivalent project management certification. Chartered or near-chartered status in a relevant discipline. Familiarity with Primavera or Power Project software. Strong knowledge of construction health and safety standards.
