Band 7 Locum Sonographer • Position: Sonographer • Banding: 7 • Location: Buckinghamshire • Start: ASAP • Rate: £40.00 - £45.00 per hour We are seeking a highly skilled Band 7 General Sonographer to join our team in Buckinghamshire. This full-time role requires working 40 hours per week, with a competitive pay rate of £40.00 - £45.00 per hour. The position is available for an immediate start and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced sonographer to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team in a supportive environment. Responsibilities: As a Band 7 General Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing a range of general ultrasound scans, ensuring accurate and high-quality imaging for the diagnosis and management of patients. You will operate advanced ultrasound equipment, maintain detailed patient records, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. Additionally, you will adhere to safety protocols and participate in quality assurance activities to uphold the department's standards. Requirements: Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification with a postgraduate diploma in Medical Ultrasound. Current registration with the HCPC. Extensive experience in general ultrasound imaging, preferably at Band 7 level. Proficiency in using advanced ultrasound technology. Strong knowledge of ultrasound safety standards and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload effectively. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and contributing to continuous improvement. Flexibility to work full-time hours as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience in neck scanning using TIRADs would be ideal. They need to be experienced in DVT scanning and happy to work in one stop clinics where needed.
