At Aquaterra Energy we specialise in providing engineering solutions and equipment to the global offshore energy industry – helping clients drive efficient and sustainable offshore operations from drilling and field development, to decommissioning, carbon capture and storage, renewable, and hydrogen projects.
We’re looking for a Projects Control Assistant, this role will support our document control function, helping to drive efficient ways of working and improved reporting. This is an important role within the team, one that provides our engineers with the confidence that they can proceed with their projects safe in the knowledge that all documentation has been prepared, stored, and accurately archived.
Working with a cross-functional team of engineering, financial and commercial disciplines, you’ll be a keen learner, who is highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
About the role:
1. Responsible for the day-to-day project document control activities including the timely processing of project documentation that is issued internally and received externally (registration, issue, transmittal, return of comments, etc).
2. To maintain our electronic document control database (master document register) for the storage and retrieval of pertinent information
3. Review formatting of project documentation to ensure it is compliant with project requirements Management of our subcontractor database – reporting on weekly timesheet status and managing purchase orders with external agencies.
4. Ensure that all timesheets are submitted by the projects team on a weekly basis, as per the already established process.
5. Management of our 3rd Party Contractor Services, ensuring that all contractors are operating under a valid PO, issuing timesheets, and handling all queries relating to time bookings
6. Raising invoices to our clients, as required
7. Assistance with the production of manufacturing record books (MRB’s) and data packs for projects
8. Assist with contractor IR35 process.
About you:
9. Be experienced in a Project Controls role such as a Project Controller or Cost Estimator.
10. You’ll be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products in a business setting, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
11. An excellent communicator, with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels across our business
12. Desire to build knowledge and experience in a commercial environment
13. Able to work off your own initiative, and the confidence to ask questions if needed
14. A desire to succeed and advance within a professional career
15. This role requires the unfettered right to work in the UK.
