Financial Controller

My client is a highly regarded family-owned property company, who are looking to add a Financial Controller to the finance team, where you will be reporting directly to the Finance Director and have regular exposure to board members.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities of the role:
1. Oversee day-to-day accounting activity, accounts payable/receivable, payroll
2. Reviewing the preparation of VAT returns, ensuring compliance to regulations and tax laws
3. Managing the annual audit processes
4. Provide financial analysis and information to support the annual and quarterly budgets
5. Preparation of board reports, rent budgeting, forecasting
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
2. Prior experience working within property or construction highly desirable
3. Academically strong with the ability to understand complexity
4. First-class accounting systems knowledge, including EXCEL, Pivot tables and Vlookup
5. Confident communicator, able to operate at Board level
My client is offering an annual salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience.
