What you’ll be doing:
* Act as the primary quality assurance representative for the client, ensuring contractor and supplier compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
* Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in line with UK regulations, ISO standards, and industry best practices.
* Conduct quality audits, inspections, and assessments of contractors, suppliers, and project sites.
* Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes throughout all project phases, from design and procurement to construction and commissioning.
* Identify and mitigate risks related to quality deficiencies and non-conformities.
* Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding quality assurance best practices.
* Review and approve quality control documentation, including inspection test plans (ITPs), material certifications, and reports.
* Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality issues.
* Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and certification agencies as required.
* Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed quality assurance reports for senior management.
What experience you'll bring:
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance or quality management within the renewables, construction, or energy sector.
* Strong understanding of UK quality standards, ISO 9001, and industry-specific regulations.
* Experience working in a client-side quality assurance role.
* Knowledge of renewable energy project risks and quality control measures.
* Sound knowledge of renewables materials, hardware and build process.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to conduct quality audits, inspections, and root cause analysis.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
* Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Degree or equivalent industry experience in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
* Certification in quality management (e.g., CQI, Six Sigma, or ISO Lead Auditor).
* Experience with large-scale wind, solar, or battery storage projects.
