Radiology Navigator - 1 year fixed term post up to 30 hours available
An opportunity has arisen within the Radiology department at the Cumberland Infirmary as a Radiology Navigator.
The post holder will work as part of the navigator team to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Radiology Directorate in coordinating and scheduling examinations whilst acting as a first point of contact between external and internal referrers.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work as part of the administrative team to provide support in terms of coordinating examinations whilst undertaking a range of administrative duties, often having to prioritize competing demands.
This is a multiskilled role and the post holder will be expected to develop and utilize a wide range of knowledge including Radiology modalities, booking procedures, and schedules.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ/Apprenticeship Level 4 Business Administration or equivalent
* Grade C or above in GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent
* Trust HR Leadership/Skills Programme
Experience
* Recent administrative experience working in the NHS
* Recent experience of working across teams consisting of clinical and non-clinical staff
* Experience of effectively managing competing priorities
* Radiology Administrative experience
Skills and Aptitudes
* Knowledge of NHS Waiting time/Diagnostic Targets
* Knowledge of Medical Terminology
* Use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook
* Ability to effectively communicate with staff and convey information accurately, including medical information
* Ability to work under pressure
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Ability to deal effectively with staff/patient concerns and enquiries
* Ability to use initiative to problem solve
