Consult with residents and senior staff to help develop individual care plans. Work effectively with colleagues to meet residents needs. Main Tasks:Resident Care and Support: Assist residents with all aspects of personal care. Continuously monitor residents health needs with the team. Respect residents choices and independence. Help residents with mobility and other physical disabilities. Serve meals and assist with eating when required. Escort residents to hospital outpatient appointments when necessary. Participate in the key worker system as defined within the home. Encourage residents to engage in home activities. Assist with events and activities at the home. Help prepare, implement, review, and update residents care plans. Perform other reasonable duties as required. General Duties: Follow all relevant regulations and Abbeyfield & Wesley policies. Maintain familiarity with administrative records. Adhere to procedures for accidents and emergencies. Ensure the home is secure while on duty. Report and advise on necessary repairs and maintenance. General Requirements: Flexibility in working hours. Attendance at staff meetings when appropriate. Participation in relevant training and development. Maintain confidentiality at all times. Carry out reasonable duties as requested by the manager. Adhere to safe working practices. Candidate Profile:Essential Requirements: Ability to communicate and interact well with people. Competency in reading, writing, and numeracy. Ability to work well in a team. Willingness to undertake training to achieve QCF Level 2 or equivalent. Empathy and understanding of older peoples needs. Ability to perform all aspects of the role to a high standard. Desirable Requirements: Experience in a similar health or social care role. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
