You will work as part of an integrated product team to develop and implement TE Hardware for Qualification & deliver test solutions for the latest power distribution controls products.You will take an innovative approach to problem-solving, demonstrate good people leadership skills, independence, sound technical judgment and be able identify and breakdown complex problems and formulate solutions.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the full Test Systems life cycle - from initial requirements through to formal release and supportDevelop and implement TE Hardware for QualificationExecute the requirements, design, implementation, and verification of assigned test systems using sound engineering principles while adhering to business standards, practices, procedures and product / programme requirementsAct as an engineering interface to the Project Manager, clearly articulating the technical direction and decisions and technically support the project planning and performance metricsLiaise and interface with other functions, e.g. Systems, Hardware, Programmes, Manufacturing, Sustainment, and other stakeholdersAssure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned Test Systems and/or tasks in line with engineering policies and proceduresParticipate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviewsProvide technical guidance and leadership to personnel supporting the assigned projectHelp coaching, mentoring, and training less experienced engineersProvide timely communications on significant issues or developmentsParticipate on teams assigned to address organisational initiatives and engineering issuesRequired QualificationsDegree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experienceExperience of Test System design, development, and hardware/software integration ideally gained in an Aviation or similar high integrity environmentGood problem solving and solution building skillsExcellent communication skills to team, peers, and all levels of managementDemonstrated ability for independent and sound technical judgment, identification of problems and formulating solutions.Desired CharacteristicsDemonstrable success in achieving and exceeding customer milestonesAbility to deliver solutions on-time, to budget and with the required qualityPositive attitude, initiative, pro-activeness and an enthusiasm and passionExperience of mentoring less experienced engineersExperience with Aircraft Power Distribution Systems Verification LabsAbility to travel to Customer facilities to support and diagnose Test Equipment faults
