One of the UK’s leading suppliers of two-way radios, Apex Radio Systems Ltd, is looking to add to its team by recruiting a Field Sales Executive to join their growing team.
As a Field Sales Executive, you will generate new business and build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers. This is a dynamic role that requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to drive sales and meet targets.
Overall Objectives:
* Support the company’s growth and profitability goals by creating and converting new business opportunities.
* Provide professional and efficient service and advice to all customers through the promotion and recommendation of products.
* Enhance the professional image, reputation, and effectiveness of the company.
You will be responsible for new business development, with most of the role being on the road. Initial training would be held either in the company head office in Gateshead, sales office in Cardiff, or at partner sites in the south of England. You must be a confident, self-starter who can identify, build, and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders. You will also conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations while negotiating contracts and pricing agreements with customers.
Core Role Responsibilities:
* Calling and visiting businesses to discuss their radio communication requirements and tailor solutions to meet their specific needs.
* Researching and identifying potential new clients.
* Pipeline creation and management.
* Managing the sales cycle from initial prospecting through to closing the sale.
* Pursuing quotations and opportunities.
* Ongoing account management of Key Accounts.
* Attending conferences and events to build relationships with customers, prospects, and industry partners while staying up to date with new trends.
* Booking demos and appointments for site visits.
* Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching sales targets.
* Possessing a strong understanding of the company’s products, customers, and competitors.
About You:
Apex is looking for someone with previous field sales experience to drive growth by winning new customers. Experience in the commercial two-way radio sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
