Within the Imaging Department, we are increasingly striving to improve patient pathways by increasing day case procedures and we are very proud of our Radiology Day case unit.
There is an expectation for the successful candidate to provide a nurse-led service performing venepuncture, cannulation, and assisting the radiologist with imaging-guided procedures. The successful candidate will work closely to provide a holistic approach for patients by collaborating with other allied health professionals such as Radiologists, radiographers, and nursing assistants.
We are keen to recruit an individual with a caring and compassionate personality, as excellent and safe patient care is our number one priority.
This post may suit a newly qualified band 5 nurse interested in joining an exciting and dynamic team. Visits to our department are encouraged to give the candidate more details of the role and to provide insight into the procedures.
We are committed to being a Centre of Excellence for the Imaging Department. The successful candidate will have full in-house training and will be supported to become a confident Practitioner in all of our specialised areas.
Our unit consists of a 9-bedded Radiology Day Case Unit, 3 Interventional Radiology Theatres (2 Vascular and 1 Vascular/Neuro), CT and Ultrasound at our Royal Stoke base, and CT, Ultrasound, and 1 Interventional Radiology suite at County.
