Transforming Education for Vulnerable Young People
We are committed to raising the standard of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). Our mission is to support children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We seek SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Cheshire.
At Targeted Provision, our team works collaboratively with qualified SEN / SEND teachers to provide 1:1 tutoring and holistic support to young people with diverse learning needs. We offer flexible working arrangements to suit your schedule.
This role involves providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD / SLD), or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision.
As an SEN / SEND Tutor, you will work closely with our dedicated SEN / SEND Support Team to ensure that every placement is a success for the young person and you. You will receive extensive CPD opportunities and access to the full Tes CPD suite while working with us.
The SEN / SEND Tutor role requires:
* Planning engaging sessions tailored to individual needs
* Providing feedback on progress through lesson reports
* Maintaining accurate records of student progress
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
