Senior Flood Risk Consultant - position available for our client out of their Henley-on-Thames office. Due to increased workload in this medium sized multi site consultancy they are looking for a Senior / Principal Flood Risk Consultant to play a key role in leading and managing flood risk assessment projects, providing technical expertise, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.

Senior Flood Risk Consultant Position Overview
9. Lead and manage complex flood risk assessment projects from inception to completion.
10. Provide technical direction and oversight to project teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
11. Conduct detailed FRA's, hydrological and hydraulic modelling, and drainage analysis.
12. Present findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner.
13. Ensure all flood risk assessments adhere to relevant regulations, policies, and guidelines.
14. Stay informed about changes in legislation and advise clients on compliance requirements.
15. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, and environmental scientists, to integrate flood risk considerations into broader projects.
16. Contribute to the development of proposals
17. Participate in business development activities to expand the client base and promote the company's flood risk management services.
Senior Flood Risk Consultant Position Requirements
18. A degree or similar in a hydrology, physical geography or a flood risk related discipline
19. 5+ years' experience within Flood Risk
20. Experience in supporting a wider team in assessing all sources of flooding, ready to embrace complex problems.
21. Understanding hydrology estimation (e.g. FEH)
22. Experience with modelling packages -Flood Modeller, TuFLOW, Microdrainage ect
23. Experience in producing FRA's and SuDS
24. Software knowledge including GIS, AutoCAD or Site3D.
25. Sound understanding and interpretation of flood risk policy and legislation
26. Excellent project management and organizational skills
