The Technology Business Operations Manager is a critical role seen as one of the Head of Technology / CTO's trusted partners in leading Technology to become a business-oriented organisation. The role focusses on ensuring that the technology organisation "does the right things" through strategy and governance, as well as "doing things right" through organisational and operational model development and performance management. This role is critical to ensuring that our technology solutions align with our Vodafone IoT strategy, enhance operational efficiencies, and provide competitive advantage. As a key member of the senior Technology management team, the Technology Business Operations Manager will collaborate closely with other leaders in technology and business functions to spearhead transformation and application modernisation initiatives, and optimise the value that technology delivers to time, cost, and quality.,
* Support alignment and communication of the overall Technology strategy aligned to Vodafone IoT business priorities.
* Support creation and management of the Technology governance framework including reporting, business reviews, management meetings, quarterly business reviews, risk, and compliance.
* Be responsible for Reporting & KPI's in line with governance framework to all levels of the business.
* Track and manage all actions placed on the leadership team, working with key stakeholders across the business to facilitate timely closure of outstanding actions.
* Support and monitor overall people plan for technology and lead specific talent related initiatives.
* Support comms and engagement at all levels of the business, providing presentations, reports, and whitepapers for both internal and external audiences.
* Oversee the execution of one or more high-impact, technology-wide, strategic programmes initiatives as they emerge.
* Oversee the development and maintenance of Technology policies, procedures, methodologies, and governance - as well as performance management frameworks and metrics - to ensure the Technology organisation delivers value to the business.
* Regularly reviews Technology costs and cost structures for technology services and products so that the financial implications of projects and activities are communicated to the proper technology and business executives.
* Manage employee engagement and promote a compelling employee value proposition to retain technology talent.
Strong organisational skills, including an ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands.
* Ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with stakeholders and functions at all levels of the organisation. Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
* Strong business acumen and ability to understand and drive business objectives.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
* Operational governance and reporting experience. Adaptability and ability to manage rapid change in business needs, processes, or technologies.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent applied experience.
* Good experience within a technology environment
* Experience working with cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders
