Oasis Trusts & Grants Fundraiser (for Academies)
Flexible Location
9 months (Maternity Cover)
Part-time, 16 hours per week, inclusive of breaks (0.4FTE)
Securing funding that enables us to carry out our amazing work in our local communities is an essential task within OCL. It helps us deliver life-changing impact to the young people that need it most and helps pay for the initiatives, interventions and equipment that makes a real difference.
We are offering the opportunity to be that ‘enabler of change’ to someone within our Trust. Someone who loves to write, who has a great command of English and who can demonstrate a pro-active ability to hunt down pockets of available funding.
You will be supported along the way – you just need to bring the drive, the relentless doggedness and the ability to craft compelling bids.
The Trust Fundraising Officer (for Academies) Maternity Cover will join our national Fundraising Team on a part-time basis. We’re looking for someone who knows Oasis well, and has the passion, skill and experience to help develop this key area of work across the Oasis family of Academies.
In this post you will be responsible for generating income for Oasis Academies through targeted grant opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop high quality national, regional and local funding applications.
2. Support Academies and regions in making funding applications.
3. Research and identify new prospects, ensuring that appropriate actions are allocated and followed up.
4. Work with the wider Oasis Fundraising Team to provide relationship management to key funders.
5. Be responsible for providing impact and outcome reports to funders.
6. Ensure that all funders are thanked promptly and appropriately and to report on the status of projects to all relevant donors as required.
You will be well-supported by Diana Steele the Head of Fundraising and form key relationships with the Academy teams, as well as Regional Directors, National Directors, Ops Managers and Finance Teams. As well as the attributes above the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate professionalism, calmness and be an ambassador for the Oasis ethos in their day-to-day work. This is a nationally based role, but we do have various Oasis locations that you can choose to work from. The role is an Oasis Community Partnerships contract.
If you are interested in applying, please send a one-page Expression of Interest letter to recruitment@oasisuk.org, explaining why you think you would be suitable for this role and what relevant skills or experience you have. Closing Date is Midday on Monday, December 2, 2024.
This post is being advertised internally to colleagues in relevant departments across the Oasis family. If you would like a conversation with a member of the team to discuss the role further, please contact recruitment@oasisuk.org.
