We are offering the chance to join our super-friendly and supportive team of 8 part-time GPs with great working relationships with our wider multidisciplinary team in the practice, on a fixed term basis for 13 months to cover maternity leave. As a salaried 2c practice all of our doctors, nurses and staff are employed directly by NHS Lothian - this means we can offer an attractive & very competitive salary based on experience, along with cover under the Clinical Negligence & Other Risks Indemnity Scheme (CNORIS). Our appointment systems are flexible and allow you to dedicate the time needed to the individual patient needs and arrange priorities according to your workload. We have no current nursing home commitment and have a generally low visit rate within a geographically compact catchment area. We are open to interest from both newly qualified and more experienced GPs. Initially we will require cover on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We have regular clinical meetings where you will be involved in the decision making process within the practice. We are also a Training Practice so there will be a requirement to assist the other doctors with daily supervision of our trainee doctor. You will be vocationally qualified (MRCGP), enthusiastic and patient centred with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will have had experience of working with people of all backgrounds and conditions.
