With a strong presence across sectors such as Oil & Gas, Nuclear, and Utilities, the company is known for delivering high-quality services and building long-term relationships with clients.
Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Senior Planner to play a pivotal role in managing the planning and scheduling of complex projects and programmes. You will be responsible for ensuring that project timelines are effectively developed, monitored, and adjusted to ensure successful delivery.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including project teams, designers, contractors, and subcontractors, to create and maintain project schedules, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Your expertise in planning methodologies and project management tools will be essential in supporting the smooth execution of industry-leading projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage programme schedules using planning software, supporting scenario modelling and what-if analysis.
* Implement strategic plans to optimise project delivery and mitigate potential delays.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of planning efforts.
* Monitor project progress, analyse trends, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
* Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and clients.
* Analyse and manage supply chain schedules and assess potential risks.
* Evaluate change requests and manage schedule baselines in line with approved changes.
* Support programme reporting and assist with presentations to key stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in planning and scheduling within the construction, infrastructure, or energy sectors.
* Strong proficiency in project management software and tools, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to engage, influence, and challenge internal and external teams.
* Experience with NEC contracts (preferred).
* Security Clearance (SC) is desirable, or the ability to obtain SC clearance (essential).
* Right to work in the UK.
