This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join a developing community service and play a critical role as it looks to evolve and fully meet the needs of the patients across Northumbria.
This position is offered for 3 days a week working alongside another Admin Lead as working 3 days a week. You will lead a team of band 2/3 admin staff and report to the service manager. You will work closely with both the warehouse and clinical teams as part of the service.
Act as Lead Administrator for wheelchair services.
Plan, allocate and supervise the work of Band 3/2 staff.
Provide comprehensive administrative support to clinical teams/managers.

Line management & delegation of duties to Band 3/2 team members
- undertake recruitment & selection, induction, absence management, appraisal & performance management.
Monitor workload capacity & administration for a service/across a locality area.
Provide comprehensive secretarial service to clinical teams/managers
- manage diaries, arrange/minute meetings and make appointments, communicate with key stakeholders, typing, filing, photocopying, processing financial documentation.
Advanced typing & transcription of clinical & non-clinical documents (OCR 3 or equivalent qualification/experience).
Develop and maintain databases/spreadsheets to ensure quick and easy retrieval of information.
Support management of all patient journeys including target administration e.g. CQUIN.
Identify training & development needs of B3/2 team members.
Resource management – ordering of supplies & equipment.
Assist in property management including coordinating general repairs and maintenance, health and safety, risk assessments, fire precautions and security systems.
