KEY RELATIONSHIPS Academy Manager and Operations Executive Technical Director Safeguarding department Academy MDT Academy and PGA Technical Staff SCOPE OF DUTIES You will play an important role in developing the learning environment for the young people within the Talent Pathway alongside the coaching team and multidisciplinary team. You will plan, prepare, and deliver practical football sessions in line with our player development programme and club philosophy. You will support, and in some instances lead, the team on match days. Coach in a way that ensures players: have an enjoyable and meaningful experience at BCWFC are encouraged to ask questions and seek feedback for improvement. are encouraged to have input into football decisions and their learning experience. are communicated the ‘why’ as well as the ‘what’ of decisions. know and understand the purpose and ‘why’ of training sessions. Work with individual players around their individual player development plans (IDP’s) during player reviews and within collective training sessions. Ensure players receive formal IDP feedback sessions, a minimum of 3x’s per season with Ensure all games and festivals are well managed with a development philosophy clear to players, parents/carers. Liaise with and work closely with coaching staff, and members of the multi-disciplinary team regarding player development, and prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries. Work with the Safeguarding Manager to ensure that the wellbeing and welfare of players and staff is always an operational priority. A positive personality, passionate about making a difference. Demonstrate curiosity and ambition to develop themselves. The ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other coaches and the multi-disciplinary team.
