Job summary We are looking for a receptionist to join our team: The successful candidate will be required to be flexible with hours between 7am-8pm Monday to Friday to accommodate staff holidays etc. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception and administrative duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, patient registration, booking appointments, processing of information (electronic and hard copy) and assisting patients as required. To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers. Main duties of the job The successful candidate must have experience of working with the general public, have excellent communication skills, strong IT skills, have a clear, polite telephone manner. You will also need to be competent in the use of Office and Outlook and ideally our clinical system EMIS Web, however, this is not essential. You must be able to manage your time and workload effectively and have the ability to work as a team member and autonomously. You must be have the ability to follow policies and procedures. About us We are large practice based in Reddish, Stockport. We have over 10,000 patients. The clinical team at the Practice consists of 7 GP Partners, 1 Practice Pharmacist, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Assistant Practitioner, 1 Trainee Nurse Associate, 2 Health Care Assistant, 2 Nurse Associate.
