The Quantity Surveyor opportunity for our client in the FM sector will be working with a well recognised client in the UK.
The contract is TFM with abroad mix of hard and soft services across their Critical National Infrastructure sites, corporate offices and UK wide operational estate.
The initial term is 5 years and services commenced in September 2023.
This role reports to the Commercial Manager for the client and will work close collaboration with account team colleagues and the wider commercial function within Technical Services.

The role will be a hybrid position, based out of the Manchester office, with home working available as well.
Package is a salary of up to £75k plus car or car allowance.
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with sector experience in the FM world ideally but this is a desirable and not a non negotiable for the role.
Responsibilities:
* Pricing of reactive maintenance tasks and small works using the contract Rate Book.
* Producing quotations for repairs and small works using the contract Rate Book for approval by the client.
* To collaborate and support the operational teams in respect of pricing works and commercial best practice.
* Ensure timely submission and agreement of applications for payment so that invoices can be raised in accordance with the contract payment process.
* Ensure that unbilled works / WIP is kept to an absolute minimum.
* Work closely with the contract Finance Teams in respect of any changes to the Financial Model and other billing data as required.
* Assess individual rates and prices, amend, create new or insert from material and/or sub-contract quotes.
* Provide support to the Account and Finance Teams in preparation of P&L, cash flow and overhead reviews and any monthly reporting requirements.
* Attend client meetings and/or internal account meetings as required.
* Forge good working relationships with both client and internal stakeholders.
* Ensure that all documentation is completed accurately and/or revised to ensure quality levels are maintained to the required standard.
* Recognise own training requirements and support ongoing development of junior colleagues.
Minimum requirements for the role of Quantity Surveyor are:
* Previous experience and working knowledge of contract rate books highly desirable.
* Main contractor and sector experience (FM maintenance) advantageous.
* Good analytical ability, high accuracy level and attention to detail.
* Able to work with minimal supervision and use own initiative.
* Professional approach to work, clients and colleagues.
* PC skills to an advanced level.
* Degree and/or professional qualifications desirable.
