Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Instrument Specialist to join our team at NES Fircroft in Aberdeen. This role will provide front-line support to the operations site-based team, focusing on instrument and control engineering.
Responsibilities
* Specify, scope, and execute improvements to instrument and protective systems.
* Act as asset IPS engineering focal point for site projects, including studies.
* Lead discipline improvements in plant reliability, equipment strategy, defect elimination, and equipment rationalisation.
* Define and own the asset's IPS spares strategy.
* Support maintenance teams in regards to equipment breakdown; investigation of fault, defect resolution, and execution of breakdown maintenance.

Requirements
* A degree in Instrument Engineering or related field.
* Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it.
* BOSIET, Medical, and MIST certifications for offshore travel.
* 5+ years' experience in O&G, Refining, or Chemical Industries.
* Knowledge of design, operation, commissioning, and maintenance of legacy instrument equipment, control systems, and ESD systems.
The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
