Red - Specialist Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimation Professional to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
We are looking for an individual with a strong background in estimation and project management to estimate project costs, prepare estimates, and consult with departments to obtain best value supply of materials and services.
Key Responsibilities
* Estimate project costs as part of the tendering procedure, ensuring accurate and detailed breakdowns of costs.
* Prepare estimates in the advised standard format for all enquiries, utilizing Microsoft Excel skills.
* Consult with supply chain contacts to obtain best value supply of materials and services, building strong relationships and negotiating prices.
* Set-up and maintenance of enquiries and records within the company IT structure, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
* Report to Line Manager and Directors on the status of all project enquiries / bids, providing regular updates and insights.
* Deputise for the Estimating Manager as required, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
* A higher level qualification in fabrication or engineering subject, demonstrating expertise in the field.
* Previous experience as a fabrication estimator, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality estimates.
* Site installation experience, showcasing ability to work in fast-paced environments.
* Ability to read and understand drawings and interpret material and welding requirements, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
* Working knowledge of standard and special steel grades, industry standard labour norms, and NDT and testing standards.
* Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, with experience using software to create detailed estimates and reports.
Competitive Salary Package
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary package, including a discretionary bonus and competitive pension contributions. The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
