This role is a permanent, part-time position offering 12.5 hours per week. Please note the salary will be pro-rata where part time hours are undertaken.

Main duties of the job
A CDP is responsible forproviding clinical outputs, improving, and managing the dental health andoperational fitness of service personnel.
Within your contracted 12.5 weekly hours, 2 hours may be attributed to non-clinical activities includingpractice meetings, training, and personal administration.
Overall your aim is to maximisethe deployability of the Population at Risk for whom you are responsible.

Job responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Inspecting all personnel for whom they are responsible at intervals inline with The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidelines andproviding follow up treatment as required.
* Work collaboratively with professional colleagues and in the bestinterest of patients.
* Ensuring that surgery management, documentation including consumablestores, the safe3 custody of personal sensitive data and the maintenance ofequipment is always kept to a high standard.
* Onward referral of personnel to enhanced practitioners, specialists, orconsultants for treatment as appropriate.

Qualifications
* Have undertaken Foundation Dentist Training (or have qualified before foundation training became compulsory in the National Health Service). OR
* Have evidence of adequate current clinical experience (either in the United Kingdom or abroad) to be able to practice independently. Additionally
* To ensure patient safety, applicants are required to have maintain evidence of clinical currency, specifically a minimum of 2 clinical sessions per week over the last 15 months.
* Full registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) without conditions.
* Please provide your membership registration number.
* You are required to be registered with the relevant professional body, as detailed in the advert, prior to submitting your application. Your application will not progress should you fail to provide a valid registration number.
* A background in military dentistry provision and primary dental care.
* A valid United Kingdom driving license, this is to enable traveling to and working from other local regional dental centres if requested.
* Evidence of currency with General Dental Council Continuous Professional Development requirements
