The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing a high-quality, efficient, patient-focused diagnostic imaging service. This role involves leading by example, providing specialist advice, and managing the training and development of all department staff. The Imaging Services Manager will oversee the operational and strategic management of the team, equipment, and facilities, ensuring a cost-effective service. Additionally, the role includes collaborating on policy development, monitoring service delivery, and ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national KPIs. Main duties of the job To be responsible for, maintain and develop a high quality, efficient, patient-focused diagnostic imaging service. To lead by example and provide highly specialist advice to all grades of Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, Radiology Department Assistants and all other non-Medical team members employed within the department. To manage and provide, to all department staff, training and knowledge to fulfil the requirements of the service, promoting an ethos of continuous professional development. To undertake delegated management of all team members employed within the Radiology Department. To lead, support and monitor a service which is cost-effective, through operational and strategic management of the team, equipment, facilities and innovative use of available resources; to complete the business planning processes for the department, identifying cost improvements and service developments.
