Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly and reliable House Assistant to join our Domestic Services team at Kent College, Canterbury. House Assistants at KC are responsible for ensuring our residential properties (including boarding houses) are cleaned to a high standard. This particular position is currently based in an all boys boarding house with the current team comprising a House Manager and another House Assistant. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. An awareness of Health and Safety and COSHH, and previous experience in a cleaning role, would be an advantage, but is not essential.
This is a great opportunity to take on a vital role in the School's boarding community, really contributing to the service we provide to our pupils.

THE POSITION
The position is 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am - 12pm, 42 weeks per year (35 term-time weeks plus 7 out of term-time weeks) with at least 5 of these out of term-time weeks worked over the summer period.
Closing date: 14th March 2025, although if a pool of suitable candidates becomes available before that date the College reserves the right to interview and appoint without further notice.
