Our local client is looking to recruit an experienced, full time Conveyancing Secretary.
Duties to include but are not limited to:
1. Providing quotations and taking instructions from clients and opening the matters on the Case Management System (LEAP).
2. Limited drafting of legal documents including preparing of contract and transfer deeds.
3. Preparing completion statements, applying for property searches, completing SDLT and LTT returns, and Land Registry applications. Knowledge of land registry portal and online digital registration.
4. Liaising with clients, estate agents, referrers, other parties solicitors, and other parties involved in the Conveyancing process, maintaining clear and professional communication (both face-to-face and via telephone).
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
6. Setting up files for exchange and completion and dealing with post-completion letters and invoices.
7. Dealing with Lender Portals downloading mortgage offers, requesting redemption statements and keeping portal up to date.
8. General administration of files - printing of emails/documentation/ensuring checklists up to date and files are compliant.
9. General typing.
Hours of work are 9am to 5pm, with one hour unpaid lunch. There is free car parking available, statutory 20 days plus bank holidays with additional time off for the period between Christmas and New Year.
