Registered Home Manager - North Manchester
Do you have knowledge and experience in children's residential care as an Ofsted registered manager. My client is extremely passionate about supporting the lives of young people who are in care. They believe that every child has a right to a good life regardless of their past experiences.
The role will be to support a staff team to care for one young person between the age of 8-17 years old. You must be PASSIONATE, ENTHUSIASTIC, MOTIVATED, DYNAMIC and COMMITTED to make a difference in improving the lives of young people supporting them to holistically develop socially, emotionally and behaviourally in a home where they feel safe and cared for working towards being the best versions of themselves and fully independent. The role can be challenging but also immeasurably rewarding making a real impact and difference to young person’s future. You will be fully supported and given every opportunity to professionally develop to be the best in your role.

· To be able to deal with challenging behaviours supporting young person’s behaviour safely and sympathetically.
· Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the individual's; care plan, guidelines, reward system and preferred method of communication.
· Develop and maintain good working relationships with the staff, parents, Social Workers and other professionals that may be involved in the young people's lives
· Ensuring plans for the young person are being met.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal along with strong organisational skills.
Requirements:
· Experience as a Registered Manager with a proven track record of good or outstanding Ofsted inspections
· Level 5 Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) qualification or working towards this qualification.
· and young people with a minimum 2 years’ experience of supervising and managing staff
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Good knowledge of relevant childcare legislation
· Be prepared to undertake mandatory training.
· Be committed in promoting anti-discriminatory practice and setting good examples of practice within the workplace.
· Prepared to take off-duty calls in emergency situations.
· UK full licenced driver and willing to transport young people
· Looking after the interests of the home and the company.
· Ability to manage the home’s budget.
