Description As a Data Protection and Privacy Risk Lead in the Compliance, Conduct & Operational Risk Chief Data Office (CCOR CDO), you will be responsible for the management of CCOR’s data. CCOR CDO’s responsibilities include the oversight & governance of the Firmwide Data Risk Management (DRM) Policy and Standard and associated Data Risks. You will be specifically responsible for oversight of Data Protection and Privacy Risk. Additionally, CCOR CDO is responsible for multiple projects/initiatives relating to implementation of the DRM Policy and Standard requirements, such as remediation of non-compliant applications, implementing new operating models and driving operational efficiencies and controls for the CCOR organization and you will contribute to many of these initiatives. You will have the opportunity to work with Data Owner Support Teams, to help ensure Data Owners understand any Protection and/or Privacy risk relating to their data stores (e.g. applications, SharePoint, Shared Drives, Physical Boxes). Job responsibilities Interprets Firmwide Policies and Standard requirements and liaising with cross-LOB CDO partners, the Firmwide Data Assurance Team and RM&C Privacy Champion to understand the impact on CCOR CDO Identifies potential gaps in meeting Policy and Standard requirements, and recommending processes to fill any potential gaps Creates Operating Models and Procedures, along with building out of training materials if required to meet any necessary responsibilities outlined in the Data Risk Management Policy and Standard Works to build Data Protection and Privacy SME knowledge in areas of Policy and Standard requirements, builds relationships with key partners from Firmwide Data Management, cross-LOB CDOs, with the RM&C Privacy Champion, and within CCOR CDO Creation of monthly decks for reporting purposes and to raise awareness of developments in the Data Protection and Privacy space Building a robust controls’ framework around Data Protection and Privacy Risk; regularly engage with Controls partners to ensure ongoing integrity and consistency of processes and procedures Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Strong program management skills A critical mindset and ability to solve problems Ability to work independently and maintain an eye for detail Demonstrated ability to partner with internal stakeholders and guide/influence outcomes towards solutions Experience in defining and/or documenting of a process, identifying efficiencies, and ensuring adherence to a robust Controls’ framework Strong verbal, written, presentation and communication skills, including use of MS Office applications Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to work as part of a wider-team and flex/support other team members when required Previous knowledge and experience of Data Protection / Privacy would be helpful, but can be taught Previous experience within a Chief Data Office / Data Governance Team or managing data would be helpful, but is not essential
