Role Overview:
The Business Development Director will play a key role in the growth of our organisation, leading the team to deliver growth and occupancy targets. Acting also as key account manager developing relationships and strategic partnerships with commissioning bodies. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the learning disability and mental health sector, as well as exceptional business development and relationship-building skills and demonstrable skills in meeting growth targets. You will work closely with both internal teams and external partners to drive organisational growth, expand our impact, and contribute to the development of high-quality care services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Line management of the Business Development team.
* Deliver to agreed occupancy targets and key performance indicators for the Commercial team.
* Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers and building strategic partnerships.
* Work with key stakeholders to identify demand and new opportunities to develop new services to meet the company growth targets
* Responsible for identifying and keeping abreast of key and new customers within Local Authorities, Integrated Care Partnerships and other stakeholder organisations.
* Develop and implement sales and marketing plans with the Business Development team to maximise occupancy for all services.
* Liaising with the Operations Directors and regional managers to ensure timely decision making on referral suitability and assessments.
* Proactively arranging and attending meetings with stakeholders to maintain the relationship and attending relevant forums.
We would love to hear from candidates that have:
* Proven experience in business development or sales within the healthcare, social care, learning disabilities, or mental health sectors.
* Demonstrable experience in meeting occupancy and growth targets
* Strong network of relationships with commissioners, local authorities, and other stakeholders in the health and social care sector.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to business development.
* Experienced in managing high performing teams.
