As part of a wider team of 2000 you will work collaboratively with our Customers you bringing together a diverse team of environmental specialists, your role will include; Embedding environment and sustainability into the design and delivery of our projects. Managing Environmental Impact Assessments, Planning and Consents outputs, in line with all governance and compliance processes and activities. Take a lead role in stakeholder engagement and consultations, including statutory bodies such as Local Authorities, Government Agencies, SEPA etc. Develop and manage a consultative collaborative approach to the successful delivery of public consultations. Manage the preparation and submission of planning and environmental consenting applications to the appropriate statutory authorities, ensuring compliance with the relevant legislative requirements. Support Environmental Consenting and Compliance activities as required. Coordinate the provision of expert Planning and Environmental advice to project teams to successfully scope and deliver projects in a timely manner by contributing to feasibility, screening and all due diligence for proposed sites. Expedite solutions to Planning and Environmental consenting issues, working closely with project teams on technical planning and environmental matters. A good understanding of the Environmental impacts associated with major projects and related assessment methodologies. Ability to lead and sign off technical reviews of Environmental statements Experience in a key discipline area, such as Environmental Science, Ecology, Hydrology, Geology, landscape assessment A strong knowledge of consenting regimes, such as the Planning Act/Development Consent Orders (DCO), Transport & Works Act, and Town & Country Planning Act. An excellent understanding of key current and emerging environmental legislation, policies and frameworks for environmental studies. A collaborative and proactive approach to all consultation process and stakeholders. Ability to lead a team alongside engaging motivating and influencing staff and clients. Full Membership (or working towards) of recognised relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA).
