Do you have the empathy, patience, and resilience to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a Behaviour Support Assistant!
Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a fantastic school in Hackney who are in need of a Behaviour Support Assistant to work alongside a number of pupils in KS2.
The role:
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the emotional and behavioural needs of the students. Working closely with the teaching team, you will help create a positive learning environment by:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
* Implementing behaviour management strategies tailored to individual students.
* Supporting students in building positive relationships and coping mechanisms.
* Assisting in the development of personalised support plans.
* Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure student progress.
What the school is looking for:
* A passion for working with children and young people.
* Experience in a similar role or within an educational setting (preferably SEMH or SEN).
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students.
* Patience, resilience, and a calm approach to challenging behaviour.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
