Job overview
We are looking for a proactive and motivated individual to join the Ophthalmology Directorate, who thrives in a challenging and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the NHS and a solid understanding of the 18-week Pathway. Strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to perform well under pressure as a key team player are essential.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide a professional, comprehensive, and effective administration support service to the Patient Pathway Coordinators and wider clinical and non-clinical teams.
2. Ensure a full administration service is provided within the various services of Ophthalmology.
3. Collect health records as required and assist with the preparation and pulling of clinic notes.
4. Respond to queries relating to health records, ensuring all records are tracked using EPR.
5. Assist with the filing and scanning of patient correspondence.
6. Open and date stamp the departmental post and distribute appropriately.
7. Assist the Patient Pathway Coordinators with electronic transcription and Medisoft as required.
8. Communicate effectively using good verbal and written skills.
