Role: Senior Social Media Manager Department: Marketing & Communications Reports to: Director of Marketing & Communications Contract Type: Permanent, Full time Salary: £44,000 Working hours: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week) - Responsibilities of the role will occasionally require work outside of normal working hours, including evenings and weekends. Hybrid work schedule - 3 days on site when appropriate to workloads About the Senior Social Media Manager Role: This role will take the day-to-day lead for the build and implementation of the social strategy for the Trusts’ social channels, with a focus on Meta, TikTok, Google, X & LinkedIn. You’ll own the always-on social content plan, executing the social calendar (alongside your direct report) with a focus on growing the size and engagement of our social audiences. But you will also be reactive to relevant cultural trends and content themes that impact our audiences and cultural community. You will work collaboratively with the teams across the Trust, ensuring the campaign in question, and the brand objectives and core messages are being communicated via the social content strategy throughout. About the Team: Our clients Marketing and Communications Team leads audience-led marketing campaigns for a diverse range of cultural programming which brings subjects and methods together in experimental forms. The Team also helps market our client as the home of cultural innovators, including the Studios, their other creative workspaces, and revenue streams such as venue hire, food and beverage. Guided by a data-led approach and in close coordination with our in-house teams and valued partners, they craft and execute multi-channel marketing strategies aimed at enhancing ticket sales, visits, workspace, elevating brand awareness, and fostering engagement both online and offline. Key responsibilities of the Senior Social Media Manager: Building and implementing an impactful and effective social media strategy that works to: Grow our connected audiences across relevant social platforms / Communicates our brand offer effectively / Maintains a positive brand sentiment / Drives brand awareness / Increases the reach of both owned and earned content. Set core metrics for all social activity and delivery against those metrics. Ongoing analytics of the audience demographics and behaviours. Competitor analysis. Trend analysis and monitoring. Social listening. Community Management: Frameworks and process for how we segment our social communities as well as comms management of our social communities. Management and leadership of a direct report. This ideal Senior Social Media Manager will have: A strong understanding of brand and how that translates across different channels effectively. A proven track record of delivering a social strategy that provides value to loyal connected audiences as well as new prospects and potential audience segments. A creative eye. Can differentiate good content from bad content and how to utilise content to grab the attention of both connected and potential audiences to stop the scroll. Experience converting audiences to complete desired actions. In-depth knowledge of Meta, X, YouTube, Tik Tok, Reddit, Google, in addition to emerging platforms. Experience actively managing online communities. A growth mindset and a belief in building a culture of effectiveness across our social media marketing. Significant social content production capabilities - Most of the social media content will be produced in-house alongside the in-house design and production teams who you’ll collaborate with on content, however we also work with partners on additional content production for our owned channels. Direct paid social experience - campaign builds, budget management, performance analysis and metrics.
