Role Purpose:
Provides direction and leadership for the Test & Release team for testing and release processes, ensuring that operational systems and infrastructure meet or exceed agreed standards and requirements.
The role:
* Manage resourcing, tools and capabilities required for all testing activities within the team.
* Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans.
* Ensure effective coordination and communication with development and product teams.
* Responsible for the test automation strategy and overseeing its execution.
* Ensure timely and accurate reporting of test results to stakeholders.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and methodologies.
* Provide leadership and guidance to the testing team.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Manage self & task: role model Arqiva’s culture goals with the team, building respect and credibility; set a high-performance bar and challenge the team to deliver sustainable results, by developing the skills and capabilities of the team and focusing on outcomes.
* Manage relationships & communications: connect, collaborate & lead communication transparently, balancing face to face and virtual, with own team and teams across the business to encourage cross-functional understanding, agreement and knowledge sharing.
The person:
* Substantial experience in software testing or a related field.
* Extensive experience in leading complex testing projects and automation initiatives.
* Experience in managing and leading testing teams.
* Qualifications: A degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is advantageous.
Skills:
* Software testing - understanding of software testing principles, methodologies and tools.
* Test Automation - Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.
* Programming languages - Proficiency in programming languages.
* Analytical and technical problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
* Communication skills - collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical info and provide training or support.
* Project management - ability to manage one or multiple projects or project tasks and meet deadlines.
* Project planning - Ability to create project schedules, allocate resources, define milestones and track progress.
* Relationship management - ability to foster relationships (and network) with external vendors, suppliers, industry peers, etc.
* Leadership and Management - management proficiency in influencing, analysis, decision making, empathy, communications, and adaptability.
