Job Title: Contract Management (Cables)
Poland-based offshore wind developer seeks a professional to manage cable contracts.
Responsibilities:
* Execute contract management for one or more cable packages, collaborating with Package Manager and Engineering teams.
* Ensure tender and contract terms align with scope and deliverable requirements through collaboration with Package Managers and Engineering team members.
* Evaluate and assess tender offers from potential bidders.
* Negotiate pricing details with bidders in a detailed and robust manner.
* Lead negotiations and interactions with bidders.
* Partner with Legal Counsel to address tendering and contract-related issues.
* Evaluate commercial offers and coordinate the overall evaluation process.
* Work with Package Managers and Engineering teams to produce contract award recommendations and present them to senior management for approval.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities in contracts by investigating and developing value engineering options.
* Manage Contractor applications for payment, ensuring alignment with payment obligations.
* Collaborate with document control to ensure adherence to correct processes by package management and Contractors.
* Align with finance and legal stakeholders to ensure compliance with Client policies.
* Contribute to commercial risk assessment and actively participate in risk mitigation strategies.
* Manage contractor compliance with open book tendering processes to achieve best possible value for the project.
* Deliver against commercial objectives, including cost savings for assigned packages.
* Prepare and update CAPEX and OPEX Costing Forms for responsible packages.
* Support Project Controls team in monitoring and reporting budgets and forecasting.
* Prepare commercial inputs for weekly and monthly package progress reports.
Requirements:
* Hold a 3rd-level qualification in engineering, business, or finance.
* Have a proven track record in delivering cable contracts and managing large-scale contracts.
* Be experienced in working independently, taking ownership of work/projects, and motivating team members to achieve team objectives or projects.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Display a strong commercial focus, having a clear understanding of the business case for offshore wind projects.
* Be able to clearly plan, communicate, and execute requirements to progress through contract award and contract execution stages.
