We are seeking a visionary and strategic Planning Director to lead and optimize our planning processes across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inbound logistics, and Integrated Business Planning (IBP). The role focuses on enhancing our global efficiency in ensuring supply meets demand. This is a high-impact position requiring an analytical mindset, proactive decision-making, and exceptional leadership capabilities. Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, the Planning Director will be instrumental as a strategic differentiator in support of Joseph Joseph’s growth and customer experience.
What You Will Be Doing
1. Oversee Joseph Joseph’s end-to-end planning processes to ensure supply meets demand at the lowest possible cost.
2. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across Joseph Joseph’s end-to-end planning processes.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, finance, NPD, and procurement) to ensure a unified approach to business planning.
4. Design, implement and continuously improve the demand planning methodology for Joseph Joseph ensuring available resource is deployed effectively in driving the required accuracy.
5. Champion the S&OP/IBP process to align demand, supply, and financial planning with business objectives ensuring meetings review performance, resolve issues, and enable data-driven decisions.
6. Evaluate and evolve Joseph Joseph planning maturity against best practice.
7. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, increase forecast accuracy, reduce inventory levels and optimise cost to serve.
8. Monitor inbound freight costs and collaborate across teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
9. Manage inventory in transit and optimize warehousing capacity and inventory flows.
What We Need From You
1. Must have 10 years of experience in Supply Chain (Demand planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Planning) incl. design, implementation, and execution of S&OP/IBP related processes.
2. Global consumer products experience.
3. Strong people leader able to develop and mentor teams.
4. Knowledge of best-in-class planning techniques and software.
5. Strong change management experience in commercial led businesses.
6. Project Management skills.
7. Proficiency with SAP software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Power Query preferable).
8. Ideally APICS/CIPS certification.
