As we continue to grow and expand our footprint, we are looking for a highly organised and driven Project Manager to take responsibility for managing a key UK Government contract.
Role Overview
The Project Manager will be the primary point of contact between Northern Diver (International) Ltd and the contract holder, ensuring the successful delivery of contract requirements while maintaining excellent relationships with all stakeholders.
You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring contractual obligations are met, and identifying opportunities to add value to the relationship.
This role requires someone with strong experience in contract management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate the complexities of working with public sector entities.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the primary contact for the contract stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the contract, ensuring that all deliverables are met in line with agreed schedules, quality standards, and specifications.
* Ensure full compliance with regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
* Manage contract documentation and maintain records to ensure audit readiness.
* Resolve and clarify any issues related to the contract.
* Prepare regular reports for internal and contract stakeholders providing updates on contract performance, risks, and opportunities.
* Oversee the definition, tracking, and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure contract objectives are consistently met and performance standards are maintained.
* Identify and mitigate risks to contract performance, ensuring contingency plans are in place for any unforeseen challenges.
* Continuously review and assess contract requirements to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
* Evaluate and address obsolescence risks within the contract framework.
* Oversee contract-related projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in project management ideally with experience in managing public sector or government contracts
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines.
* Attention to detail and the ability to manage complex, large-scale contracts.
* Strong problem-solving abilities, with experience in conflict resolution and risk management.
* Clear, concise, and confident communication, both written and verbal, with a strong ability to present reports and updates.
* The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, quality, and finance.
* Numerate with excellent writing skills in order to produce reports and analysis.
* Experienced in Microsoft Word.
* Skilled in creating detailed and comprehensive numerical reports using Excel
* Full UK Driving license
* Familiarity with government contract frameworks
* Ability to analyse contract performance data and propose continuous improvements.
* Security clearance may be required post appointment
