We believe that great landscapes are just as important as well-designed homes, and we are seeking a talented Landscape Architect to help shape the outdoor spaces of our new developments. Role Overview As a Landscape Architect, you will play a key role in designing and implementing outdoor environments that enhance the appeal, functionality, and sustainability of our residential projects. You will work closely with architects, planners, and construction teams to develop green spaces, streetscapes, and communal areas that contribute to a strong sense of community and environmental well-being. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop landscape plans for new housing developments, ensuring aesthetic appeal, sustainability, and functionality. • Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and urban planners to integrate landscape designs with overall site plans. • Select appropriate plantings, materials, and features to suit the local environment and client preferences. • Ensure compliance with local planning regulations, environmental standards, and sustainability goals. • Oversee the implementation of landscape designs, working with contractors and site teams to ensure quality execution. • Provide input on drainage, irrigation, and land grading to ensure longevity and resilience of green spaces. • Develop 2D and 3D visualisations, sketches, and presentations to communicate design ideas to stakeholders. • Conduct site analysis, including soil assessments, environmental impact studies, and feasibility reviews. • Stay up to date with industry trends, innovations, and best practices in landscape architecture. Requirements • Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field. • Chartered status or working towards chartership with the Landscape Institute (preferred but not essential). • Proven experience in designing landscapes for residential developments, ideally within a house building or property development setting. • Strong knowledge of planting design, materials, sustainability, and environmental considerations. • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) and Adobe Creative Suite. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present design concepts effectively. • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. • A passion for creating vibrant, liveable communities with high-quality outdoor spaces.
