Job Title: Pastoral Support Assistant Location: Worcester Job Type: Temporary - Permanent Working hours: Full time 8:30 - 3:30 (Monday to Friday) Salary: £90 - £110 per day Monarch Education are seeking a compassionate, empathetic, and skilled Pastoral Support Assistant to join a small, dynamic pastoral team an SEND school in Worcester. As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will work closely with the Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator (SENDCo), teaching staff, and other support staff to provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for their students. Responsibilities of the post: Assist in the management of student behaviour and support the implementation of school wide behavioural policies. Provide one-to-one and small group support to students as required, promoting social, emotional, and academic well-being. To support and work with pupils and families to maximise learning for individual pupils Work collaboratively with teaching staff to develop and implement individualised support plans and strategies. Develop and maintain good relationships with students, parents, and carers to ensure effective communication and support. Support the SEND team in maintaining accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation. Support students with regulating their emotions. Requirements: A relevant qualification or experience working in a SEND setting (e.g., BTEC, NVQ, degree in Psychology or Education). Experience in supporting students with SEND, including those with challenging behaviours. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment.
