Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Dietitian with an interest in working in a Community Adult Disorders Service. This role is a fixed-term 12-month position for maternity cover.
The post holder will provide specialist dietetic input to adults with eating disorders in the community and in Day service, working collaboratively with service users and multidisciplinary team members.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Dietetic assessment and collaborative formulation for people under the community eating disorders service.
2. Delivery and facilitation of groups within day service.
3. Participate in supporting eating within day service.
4. Provide guidance to team members on supporting nutritional goals.
5. Conduct nutritional education for team members.
6. Contribute to service evaluation.

Job title: Band 6 Dietitian in Eating Disorders
Band: Band 6
Reports to: Lead Dietitian
Accountable to: Sheffield Eating Disorders Service Team Manager
Job purpose: To be responsible for the provision of high-quality dietetic service to a clinical caseload in eating disorders.
Clinical Core Duties and Responsibilities
1. Determine/diagnose appropriate dietetic treatment and develop management plans.
2. Conduct dietetic assessments considering various factors affecting dietary treatment.
3. Provide nutrition and dietary advice based on current evidence.
4. Monitor and review dietetic care plans.
5. Ensure dietetic interventions are implemented through collaborative interdisciplinary working.
6. Maintain up-to-date records of assessments and interventions.
Person Specification
Training and Development
1. 4-year BSc Nutrition and Dietetics or relevant degree with Postgraduate Diploma/Masters in Dietetics.
2. Current HPC registration.
Experience
1. Substantial dietetic experience in a variety of clinical settings.
2. Evidence of team working and independent working.
Knowledge and Skills
1. Awareness of clinical governance and its implications for dietetics.
2. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team working skills.
3. Ability to work as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team.
