We’re partnering with a university on exclusive basis to support them through the recruitment of an Exams Timetabler to coordinate academic exams timetables. The university just went live with a new exam scheduler in May and are utilising this to do 70% of their digital exams. This is a great opportunity for someone to work on project environment and shape/ enhance the existing exam timetabling processes improving student experience.

Role: Exams Timetabling Officer
Employment Type: 2 year FTC
Location : 1-3 days a week in London, for exceptional candidate we can look at a remote working but there will be a need for some onsite presence initially
Salary: £34,723.29 - £44,465.29

The role:
Reporting to the Registrar, the exams timetabling officer will be responsible for coordinating the logistical aspects of written exam as well as assessments on Moodle and digital examinations through Espria. 70% of examination for the university are conducted digitally so experience in coordinating exams in that manner would be highly advantageous for this role.
This role is situated in the Assessments project team who delivered the implementation and integration of Scientia exam scheduler in May 2024. This is a critical role within the organisation that is currently undergoing major digital transformation to replace their student record system. That comes with host of project the assessment team will be involved with, that the post holder will have the opportunity to lead:
1. Enhancement of current assessments and examinations processes
2. The post holder will play an integral role in shaping what assessments processes would need to look like as the university migrates to the new system
3. Looking at target operating model when transitioning to BAU after implementation – this is a 2 year plan
4. Semesterisation project to drive student learning experience and allow flexibility in teaching and access to programmes. Moving towards 3 assessment periods next year
The post holder will have the responsibility for all exam coordination, take a lead role in process improvement activity and support key project work as the university is transitioning to the new system. It is an exciting, autonomous role to make a lasting impact on the institution.
Desirable skills:
1. Proven experience working with Scientia / Syllabus Plus exam scheduling software
2. Experience working on large transformation project within timetabling / exam scheduling
3. Working in a Higher Education environment
