Are you a Prototype Vehicle Build or Development Technician seeking a new opportunity to grow your career? ASL Technical are now working with a leading automotive manufacturer as they look to expand their Prototype Vehicle Build team.
Main Purpose of the Prototype / Development Vehicle Build Technician
Work closely with the Prototype build team to construct high-quality, reliable prototype vehicles, bucks, and rigs for effective testing and development of future models.
Support a diverse range of activities, including vehicle builds, fabrication, rig builds, and testing.
Assist in the manufacture of prototype vehicle components.
Manage multiple vehicle builds simultaneously, balancing priorities to meet tight deadlines.
Develop strong working relationships with the Prototype build team to ensure efficient communication and quick problem resolution.
Provide input on vehicle packaging and assembly for systems across all areas.
Responsibilities of the Prototype / Development Vehicle Build Technician
Conduct full vehicle and component-level builds.
Support and maintain prototype vehicles, contributing to system and component fault diagnosis.
Operate and maintain support equipment for prototype vehicles.
Utilize fabrication and basic machining skills to support vehicle build and modification.
Interpret engineering specifications and technical drawings accurately.
Experience / Knowledge for the Prototype / Development Vehicle Build Technician
Extensive experience in development vehicle builds, from full-vehicle assembly to component-level work.
Strong understanding of vehicle architecture and associated systems.
Good computer literacy skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
A team player with the ability to motivate others and maintain high standards at all times.
